Me and my friend just peeked inside this store at Hyderabad, the one situated in the MPM mall in Abids. Looking out for some cool telugu movies.
My first impression was rather good, the ambience and interiors were good, all the cds, dvds neatly arranged in an assorted manner in the store. I wanted a movie cd which was my friend’s favorite and I wanted to gift him that for his birthday. We asked the shopkeeper to check it for us, And he checked the CD, there was a scratch on the first cd.
To be more sure, we asked him to play it for us, and he was patient enough to play it out for us. Now after checking it we thought we could take it, so we paid for it and left.
Later at home, we checked out the whole movie, but in the first cd, it got stuck and we were shocked, after checking also the cd’s quality wasn’t good. Somedays later, we went back to the store( very far from where we stay, so it took some days for us to revisit the place). We wanted a replacement, but to our surprise there was only one copy.
Now he asked us to enquire in another branch of theirs. So we went all the way from one corner of the city to the other and after getting to that store(the one in panjagutta), to our shock there was no copy of the cd at all.
Now this was bad, for a store to have a single copy of a very popular film and also entertaining bad copies of the cds.
We enquired the store of another copy, and were told to call 2 weeks later. Birthday came and went but the other copy hadn’t turned up yet.
Well this was my experience for a telugu film "Anand" vcd at planet M.
It could be just a coincidence that the store had a sparse number of copies on that particular film but still impressions are made once.
