I am writing this review as an urgent warning to any parent considering PlanetSpark for their child. What began as a promise for a grammar course quickly devolved into a five-month-long battle for my money, culminating in an outright financial scam involving egregious and unjustified deductions.
The Initial Deception:
I paid the full course amount of INR 36, 000. My child attended only one single class. After this first session, it was immediately clear that the promises made about the course were false and the quality was unacceptable, so I requested an immediate refund.
The Refund Nightmare(5-Month Wait):
Despite requesting the refund immediately, I was forced to engage in a continuous follow-up process for five agonizing months. The refund was only initiated after I resorted to posting a public review on Trustpilot.
The Ridiculous Charges and Fraudulent Calculation:
For a single class attended, PlanetSpark retained a total of INR 9, 201 from my initial payment of INR 36, 000. This deduction is a clear violation of consumer rights and is broken down as follows:
Processing Fee(INR 7, 200): They deducted a ridiculous 20% processing fee on the entire course amount(INR 36, 000), totaling INR 7, 200. This is an exorbitant and predatory fee, especially after just one class.
Phantom Class Charges(INR 2, 000): On top of the 20% fee, they fraudulently charged me for two additional classes that were never delivered and never attended, charging INR 1, 000 per class, totaling INR 2, 000.
Actual Refund: After deducting INR 9, 201(7, 200+ 2, 000+ 100 for the attended class), they refunded only INR 26, 799.
Shameless Customer Service:
When I demanded updates on the process and clarification on these unwarranted charges, their support team shamelessly provided the same canned, nonsensical response: "You can expect the 1rs razoray x link within this week. Please be in touch with us." This automated, unprofessional, and dismissive response only confirms the company’s fraudulent practices.
