Planning a Road Trip

I love traveling. Any type of holiday takes me out of my home and the type of outing depend on the duration of holiday. Generally in short holidays we plan for road trip to the nearest places. Once we traveled a long trip by road. It was a boring trip because it was summer. Indian summer is typically dangerous!

Whatever, I think in plane lands for long trip road trip is not always the best option in India. The only advantage of road trip is that you can wander independently in your car.

In our state night journey is not always safe, I at all times prefer day journey. At that day we get up as early as possible in the morning and start journey. If the distance is more than 200 km we like to travel in speedy cars like Tata Sumo. Ambassadors are also ideal for long journeys.

In the case of out state such as Delhi to Nainital/Simla/Chandigarh or Delhi to Dehradun/Haridwar or in south India I always prefer bus/car journey. The roads are very safe and it?s a pleasure to travel through roads there.

For road journey foods and water is a big problem, don?t forget to take them sufficiently.

And for all journey, don?t take extra luggage. Don?t forget to take road maps of your destinations. Take a mobile phone and a telephone directory(or take phone numbers of nearest police stations and hospitals). Prevention is better than cure.

Take care about your children.

Happy Journey!
