Writing a review after quite sometime so I hope I manage to avoid typo errors :)
Ive been listening to the songs of the forthcoming movie Players and though of sharing my feedback with all MSians:
Should say overall a good compilation from Pritam Da with some peppy/party numbers for the new generation when Holidays/New Year is round the corner.
The best part of the album like almost the new movie soundtracks is the chance given to the new singers. These fresh faces not only demand less than the vintage/proven onez but also create a path for new generation to dream and rise high in the field of music. Love this concept!
The album is almost like any other new movie with 4-5 basic songs and another set of 4-5 songs as reprise/remixes of the original which sure counts.
Jis Jagah Pe Khatam: A good song sung Neeraj Sridhar and Sidharth Basrur. A catchy number for sure coz its the 1st we heard from this movie in its early promos and almost all liked it much.
Kyun dooriyan (Jhoom Jhoom): This one sung by another new artists Ritu Pathak. Nice lyrics and much nicely sung.
Ho Gayi Tun: Sung by Yashita Yashpal & Bob. This ONEZ sure a hit with all party animals !! Specially gals who want to enjoy the booze :)
Buddhi Do Bhagwaan (Charlie’s Song): Shruti Pathak and URL. The album cover says URL band however the only voice I can make out is from Abhi B. I found this one catchy on the first hear but pathetic on multiiple attempts.
Dil Ye Bekarar Kyun Hai: Mohit Chauhan & Shreya Ghoshal. This number is sure a true Mohit Chauhan kinds. Soothing to the ears and enjoyable.
Jhoom Jhoom Ta Hun Main (Kyun Dooriyan): Sidharth Basrur. I found the one sung by Arijit much AWESOME.
Dil Ye Bekarar Kyun Hai (Reprise): Ok Ok kinds
Jhoom Jhoom Ta Ja (Film Version): The 2nd version sung by Arijit Singh - another fresh voice and much better than the one sung by Sid. Pritam Da seems inspired by international singer Pitbulls music in this track though ;)
Dis 1s the best party track of the year I bet !! Do listen to it if not already done.
Jis Jagah Pe Khatam (Remix): Again Ok Ok kinds.
Dil Ye Bekarar Kyun Hai (Remix): Ooooookkkkk again :)
OVERALL I would rate the album 4/5 based on the 2 party tracks associated to it which sure would retrieve the album cost for everyone incld the producers :) Do listen to it.
