Pathetic Service & Fraudulent Practices-Stay Away

If I could give zero stars, I would. My entire experience with Policybazaar for my car insurance claim has been a complete nightmare, stretching across almost 3 months of harassment, false promises, and zero accountability.


My ordeal began on 30th June 2025 when I met with an accident. Like any genuine customer, I immediately tried to reach out to file an insurance claim. Shockingly, despite repeated attempts, it took them more than 7 days just to respond. And what was the response? Not a claim number, not a surveyor assignment — just an email asking me for details.


After that, it took another 3 days to even assign a surveyor, and then another week for the surveyor to finally visit the garage. He took pictures and gave no clear timeline. By the time Policybazaar finally gave me a claim number and accepted the claim, it was already 20 days since the accident.


The repair work took 10–15 days, but here’s the catch — I had to pay the full amount from my own pocket to get my car back in the first week of August. Even then, I trusted that Policybazaar would reimburse me quickly. But that’s where the real torture began.


It has now been 1.5 months since I paid for the repairs and Policybazaar has still not reimbursed me. Instead, they continue to harass me every single day with one excuse after another. First, they asked for photos, then invoices, then more documents, and now they have the audacity to ask for receipts of the spare parts purchased by the garage — something which is not even the customer’s responsibility. Clearly, they are just dragging this out with the sole intention of denying the claim and cheating customers.


So, from 30th June till today, it’s been almost 3 months of endless calls, emails, follow-ups, mental stress, and financial burden — with absolutely no resolution. Policybazaar has shown itself to be nothing more than a scammy aggregator that washes its hands off once the premium is paid. They have no customer support, no accountability, and no respect for the people whose hard-earned money they take.


This experience has taught me a very hard lesson: Never trust Policybazaar for insurance. They lure you in with flashy ads, fake promises, and “easy claim” assurances, but the reality is the exact opposite. When you need them the most, they will leave you stranded, delay everything, and ultimately look for ways to reject your claim.


My humble advice to anyone considering them: Do NOT buy insurance through Policybazaar. It is a trap. Go directly to a reliable insurance company instead of falling for this middleman scam. Save yourself from the months of harassment, financial stress, and sheer frustration that I have gone through.


Policybazaar is not just incompetent — it’s deceptive, fraudulent, and a complete disgrace in the name of customer service.
