Its 500-hp 4.0-liter flat-six that howls to a 9000-rpm redline; the rear wheels are driven through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or an optional six-speed manual. The more discreet 911 R loses the rear wing and offers the six-speed manual as standard.
