How PostMyGreetings solved my problem

I used to be very fond of sending greeting cards to friends and family for occasions such as birthdays as well for festivals such as Holi and Diwali when I was much younger. I would spend hours browsing through the collections at various card stores to pick the ones with the most appropriate messages, especially for birthdays. For occasions such as the New Year, I would pick cards with the most attractive imagery.

While I was in college, along came the Internet and soon I was hooked. I signed up for an email account and would simply drop a line or two to wish my near and dear ones through their electronic mailboxes. Then, I discovered a few websites from where I could send virtual cards.

I would look for those with the funniest messages and visuals, in addition to the best music that played alongside. I was able to write my own messages within the cards or to edit the pre-written messages, which let me add a personal touch. I liked sending such cards for a considerable length of time, but slowly the excitement wore off.

I missed the tangibility that printed greeting cards offered, especially the part about choosing and sending something that friends or family members would hold in their hands when they would receive it. However, obviously, I would not be able to customize such greetings by writing the message inside the card on my own.

So, somewhere at the back of my mind, I felt the need for greeting cards that would combine the very physical experience of sending or receiving a greeting card printed on paper with the ability to write my own message.

Then, some one told me about a service called PostMyGreetings, through which I could customize a greeting card online by writing the message that would go inside the card and choosing where to place any photograph from my personal collection on the card. The card would then be printed and delivered to the recipient I chose at the address I provided.

I used their services for wishing a close friend on his birthday and found these to be more than satisfactory. Not only I, but my friend also was pleased with the results achieved. I sincerely hope that he is going to cherish the card that I created for him for a long time to come.
