This is the next best train after the Deccan Queen which was introduced in 90s. (pragati express, not DQ).
Its speed is good, pantry is good and you can get seat from Mumbai to PUne, if you happen to travel at that time. But from pune onwards, make sure you have a reservation . But on sundays, this train runs almost empty. From Mumbai to Pune, it halts at Dadar Station, too.
However, the pantry of DQ is better now and PE needs to add more variety to its pantry. Also, if this train can go faster, it is better. It takes 3 hrs 40 minutes which can be cut to less than 3 hrs with all stops intact for sure!
So it is the twin sister of DQ and not in the same class of DQ, a very good train indeed. Go for it, if you can get the reservation.
