Contrary to other’s experience mine experience with Pragati was good. Though I was skeptical about the shifting, but it went well. I have hired them for shifting my household goods from Bhopal to Bangalore. We had very few things to shift 22 small cartons(clothes, kitchen steel items, toys) and one Honda Activa Scooter. I have asked them to visit my home in order to see the items and then to give me a quote. They quoted me 40% less than Agrawal Packers.
As I could not find any Packers and Movers with good reviews at mouthshut, I zeroed in on Pragati. I paid them 75% of the amount by cash and have given a postdated cheque for the remaining amount.
They appeared on promised time for packing up the goods. As there were very few things, it was done quickly. We opted for the travel insurance(I don’t know their insurance is fake or real, but luckily I have not faced any situation to use it).
We were promised a delivery duration of 5-7 days, but to my surprise my goods showed up on 4th day. It was transported along with some other goods on sharing basis, as we had very few things to shift. There was a little confusion for unloading, as the driver was not from Pragati(they have used any other transport to shift my goods) he refused to unload it. I have called to the person with whom I had done the booking and he in turn called to his local office and dispatched two labors. They were there in 30-45 minutes and started the unloading.
All of my goods were intact, and my Activa was properly packed. For me it was a smooth sail. I don’t know what to call this experience’my luck’ or a’service oriented approach from Pragati’.
