Pramek solutions is presently the only major wired internet service provider in Wakad, Pune. They are a franchise of BSNL and Joister Broadband.
I have this connection from January 2015 and the experience has not been a good one at all. I have opted for Joister Rs 800 15GB monthly plan. This is a limited plan and if you exceed your limit the internet just stops working. There is no notification system through sms/email that you are about to exceed the limit and if you need to continue using internet you need to recharge. The speed from Joister is not bad though the charges are not low but still it is okay and no major complaints as such. However this review is more about Joister’s franchise - Pramek Solutions.
These guys have customer support only from 11 AM to 6 PM that too from Monday to Friday. They say its from 10 AM but you will never find anyone there, sometimes even when u call at 11. So if there is an outage on Saturday, most likely you wont have any internet till Monday evening or even later depending on when they plan to allow you to use internet.
These people have an outage of minimum 2 days every week and most likely it happens sometime on Saturday Afternoon. When you call the customer care their number is always busy and you wont get through. No, you never ever get a call back. If you do get through and manage to ring their phone, you wont get any response what so ever. The phone will keep ringing and ringing but no one will answer it.
They even shut their local office when there is an outage and there will be no way to reach these bxxxxx So from Saturday afternoon till Monday evening or even later you are left without any internet. Unfortunately there are not many options in wired internet in Wakad as of now atleast and the local goons/politicos dont allow any new service provider to come either. So its their way or the highway if you want a wired internet.
Internet dongles from Airtel, Reliance, TATA etc are available but most have very weak networks. With these dongles all you might be able to do is check your emails but watching videos or something is a privilege which you will never have. This review is just to prepare you of the consequences that you will face if you want a wired broadband connection and prepare you to be brave if you plan to take the plunge. If you want to save yourself for purchasing a headache, dont opt for a connection from pramek solutions at all.
