Prasoon Joshi a Man with the true power of words! He is nolonger a new comer in the industry. An ad maker turned into lyricist.


Prasoon Joshi - highly energetic, intelligent, and down to earth, an MBAby qualification, poet at heart, advertisement creative head byprofession and the only Indian who has to his credit the*Golden Lion Award at Cannes.



“Behind every successful man there are lots of unsuccessful years” - he defines his reason to success.


Born on 16th September 1971 at Almora Uttarakhand completed is MBA and worked as an Ad maker. Creativity can be another name for Prasoon Joshi. Let it be ads or films he has delivered the best.


Let it be the ad “Thanda matlab Coca Cola” or “Baap kitne hai tore”…it was Prasoon’s creative head behind the success of Coca Cola Ad Campaign.


Before entering into Bollywood as a lyricist he did some non film songs. Some really turned into chartbusters like,


*Dooba Dooba rahta hu – Silkroute


Ab ke saawan – Shubha Mudgal


Man ke manjire - Shubha Mudgal*


He got his first break in bollywood with title track of Lajja and then there was no turning back for this man. He gave one of the biggest chartbusters to Bollywood like,

Ladki Kyu – Hum Tum


Luka Chupi - Rang De Basanti


Rubaroo - Rang De Basanti


Chand Sifarish – Faanah


Mere Haath me – Faanah


Maa – Tare Zameen Par

Kaise mujhe tum – Ghajini


Masakaali – Delhi 6*

And the list goes on.... He has also learnt classical music from Pandit BhimSen Joshi, Ustad Haphiz Ahmed and he is also looking to pursue his singing career too.

2003: Cannes Lion Award: Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival: Thanda Matlab Coca-Cola campaign.


He has won more than 200 advertising awards


2005:Star Screen Award for Best Lyricist: Hum Tum: Sason ko Sason


2007: Filmfare Best Lyricist Award: Fanaa: Chand Sifarish .


2008: Filmfare Best Lyricist Award: Taare Zameen Par: Maa .


2009: Indian of the year Best Lyricist Award: Taare Zameen Par: Maa .
