It would be unfair If I didnt add notes to my review below. I got a call from Pratham after lodging a complaint and writing this review. They were prompt this time and were more willing to listen. Their driver picked my car the next morning and got it back too.
Issue seems resolved as of now. No jerks or drag felt so far. I was told that it was an issue with the alignment and clutch which has been taken care of now. I would need to confirm if the mileage is back to what it was earlier.
I believe the whole situation could have been avoided if the lady at the front desk just took my complaint seriously and had someone look into it at that point.
Anyways the damage has been done and so have the repairs. This time though I am a satisfied customer and would take this as a one - off experience.

I bought a Black Wagon R VXI from Pratham Motors in March, 2006. After two services I now face an issue with the performance of teh car. The cars seems to drag in 2nd and 3rd Gear (jerks quite a lot).I reported this on 6th July. I called up the Sales rep who had sold the car to me. He directed me to another person, who then directed me to another Phone number. After trying a number of times I was finally able to get through and the Lady at first told me that they can not send a technician to pick up or check the car before 11th July. After explaining the issue to her multiple times she agreed to send someone to my residence the next day at 4:00 PM. I neither received a call nor did anyone come.
I called up the Sales rep again to escalate this matter. He requested me to send a mail to service@prathammotors.com. I am hoping something would happen after this! I tried calling the land line to pratham motors but just cant seem to get anyone to answer.
I must say that its one of the worst experience. We have an Alto bought from Mandovi and have never had this kind of an issue! I am regretting my decision of buying a car from Pratham already; so much so that, I am not sure if I would get a reply to my mail as well. I have already had a poor experience at one other instance where my car was not picked up as promised (was picked up the next day for service) and this experience is worse. I guess the worst is yet to come!
I am hoping some action is taken against the after sales staff. The sales person however is really helpful.
I am hoping to hear from Pratham soon. Till then my car would keep dragging and jerking!
