I had recently gone to Pratham Motors, Bangalore to buy a new car. Initially everything was smooth. I test drove some cars and finally decided on one. All the problem started when it came to finances. I wanted to take a loan. Initially they said that I can easily take a loan and asked me get all the documents and down payment. I agreed to take loan on Citibank and I was assured that there’ll be no hassles as I already have an account with Citibank. Even after repeatedly asking them they said nothing else was required.
On the day of booking the car they suddenly told me to get a co-applicant for the loan, citing some god-knows-what reasons. They even said that the finance person there is new so doesnt know the rules and hence dint inform me in advance. Isnt it a basic thing for a finance person to know that the loan will need a co-applicant?? And that too after I asking them again and again.
So strange and irresponsible. Then somehow they convinced me that it was their mistake and that they’ll do all the needful to get the documents and signatures from my co-applicant. Everything was going fine until the day I get a call from ICICI that they are processing my loan. I was thoroughly confused. I had applied for a Citibank loan and I am getting a call from ICICI??!! I called up Pratham and asked and they said that they discussed amongst themselves and decided to go for ICICI without even asking/informing me. This is utterly ridiculous. Its my car, my loan and they dont even bother to ask me!! I cancelled the deal then and there itself. And I have decided not to recommend anyone Pratham Motors.
They are not even remotely sorry for wasting so much of my time and energy. Very bad experience. If any of you is planning a car from Partham Motors even after reading this review then please get the finances clear before going ahead. And take everything in writing from them.
