I bet most of you HAVEN`T YET heard of the Mini Digital Camera, mark PRECISION, Model HE513. I`ve just got one recently and it`s extremely useful to my eyes.
Whilst it may not be as sophisticated as most cameras are, this one is more-like an instant-picture snapper.
It has a key-ring and that is what makes it more look like a key-hanger. -I really mean it... A real camera, but looks more like a key hanger. There is no flash and when you take a picture on it, there is simply a small BEEP. Then, there is a series of VERY easy steps to create a digital picture on your PC.
So, here are the steps for a normal digital picture using this camera...
Press MODE button, push upwards the LOOP button (to display a loop-window for sight) and try to get the correct sharpness and angles manually. Well, that`s VERY SIMPLE unless you have practice on using other camera-like and mirror-like instruments like the telescope, microscope and the periscope.
The only problem here is that the camera switches off after 30 seconds and you should be VERY FAST at this stage.
Press on the SNAP button and wait for a small BEEP sound.
Connect the digital device to your PC Via USB cable (supplied by the product) and (after installing the required software and required drivers), a window automatically appears giving you information on the amount of pics available on the camera and if you click OK, it download/transfer the pics from the device directly to the PC.
From there, it simply gets easier and easier. You can save the pics to your computer or any removable drive. (like CD-Rom or Floppy Discs).
From then on, you can switch the printer ON and simply print you photos- and it`s all done in less than 15 minutes. There are many advantages with it. But still, I`ll be more informal with you all...
Some days back, we went to meet a girl. I mean that, one of my best friends and I we were going to meet some girlfriends (please don`t mind) and as we hadn`t seen each other, we were immediately interested in having each others mobile number(well atleast for the time being).
I found a girl, very beautiful with stylish clothes. But she was very traditional and doesn`t like anyone getting too close to her. I just wanted a pic of her. I befriended her and I decided to take the risk.
While she wasn`t looking at me, I quickly took my mini digital camera and snapped alteast seven pics of her beautiful body. She didn`t notice anything and I just thought that well, this camera is USEFUL after all. No need to buy Camera-films or develop photographs...
Unfortunately, this is not at all what happened. When, I previewed the pics on my computer, only five were previewed well, the two others weren`t very sharp and I guess it`s because I did not care about the sunlight. I wasn`t angry but... I wasn`t happy either.
The next thing I like with the camera is that it doesn`t make a lot of noise. Imagine, my girlfriend who hates anonymous pics didn`t even notice me taking her pics while she was looking at a film advertisment, just round the cinema. Even I only heard a slight BEEP sound and that`s all.
Thirdly, is it`s shape and appearance. But, sorry I have nothing much to tell you on that because it`s rectanglar shaped with an LCD screen, anyway... Forth, is that it uses only a AAA-sized battery (4 for less that 2 pounds) - and nothing else...
These are the main advantages of the camera which I`ve experienced till now but still no product can ever be PERFECT. What leads to the HE513`s downfall is it`s lack of precision itself. I remember that my own scanner has somewhat better sharpness that the pics transferred from my digital camera.
However, this might not be appicable to some of you because this has only got to do with how you handle to light projected from the sun to your camera. Let me be clear here... By that I mean: It depends on your ability to control the amount of light rays affecting the loop of the camera. Rays from the opposite direction will spoil the pic whereas rays from behind the snapper`s back (opposite to the image) will be just right.
That is why I avoid using it in a room where there are a lot of transparent windows. But another fact is, that even if the pics aren`t successful, then it`s DOES NOT prove to be costly AT ALL.
The HE513 Mini-Digital Camera is a definite buy and I would suggest that before buying this product, to read carefully this review and have atleast some experience in taking pictures from a photographic camera. But... It is VERY USEFUL and as I`ve given details before, this camera has a key-hole (for keys) and looks like a key hanger. So, it might prove to be a very good product for people who want to take pics secretly or a camera which fits almost everywhere!!!
