Preethi Blue Leaf mixer grinder is a powerful machine to get things done fast. But the design of the bowls, handles and lids are really not satisfactory. One has to tighten the screws of the handles of the bowls quite often. The lid of the bowl used for preparing rice dough for Idli, dosa or appam has no clips to keep it in place and one has to press it tight while using the machine.
For adding water while preparing dough, one has to stop the machine first and then restart. It will splash the semi-ground dough upwards. If it was possible to open the top small lid( there is none) it would have been possible for adding a little water while the machine was in operation.
The handle of the bowl is really clumsy looking. A little more aesthetic sense was required for its design. Another problem of concern is the life of the rubber gasket. It is difficult to remove for cleaning and needs replacement quite often.
Because of its very high speed, it is rather difficult to make butter using this machine.
