I have been driving 4 wheeler for the past 14 years and quite naturally I am having a fair idea about fuel mileage and relevant consumption causes. I found a mismatch of nearly 10.5 lts of Petrol, i.e. 10.5 lts of petrol missing from my car’s fuel tank after I got the handover of my car, post paid service completion. I faced this kind of issues previously in other Service stations as well. Due to the same, this time, I took the complete information of how much fuel was there in my fuel tank before I handed over my Alto 800 car for service. According to the Service Supervisor, my car was taken for a 14 km trial run (not even 1 lt of Petrol Consumption) and due to heating issues, my car was left on in start condition along with AC on for 1.5 hrs for monitoring ( max to max 2 lts of fuel consumption).Before service there was 24.5 lts of petrol and after Service, it was 14 lts. If all total 3 lts of petrol was consumed, what about the remaining 7.5 lts of petrol.Even I found that the lead of my fuel chamber was open due to some reason during final washing, which was closed by Supervisor himself after I pointed out the same..According to Supervisor, I might be making mistakes in my calculation, but I am not ready to buy this kind of clarification at all. These are very well known issues and even I received similar information at nearby Fuel station as well when I went for a refill. My car is not even 5 years old and I am very well aware of the litre specific mileage of my car.
Completely unacceptable and highly annoying incident. This kind of scam is really not acceptable from such a well reputed Service station. We are proud owners of Maruti Suzuki 4 wheelers and it’s the responsibility of the Service stations to maintain the good will of this highly esteemed brand name. Such a shame....
