It was named hindu college when the college was established on 1817.200 years passed the name of the institute changes thrice from hindu college to presidency college and on 2010 it was named the Presidency Univercity affiliated by UGC and graded A by NAAC.It is one of the premium institutes of India.people come here from different states even it has international students.The standard of the studies are quite high.it has a central library containing thousands of science books and also has an arts library.the environment of the college is so friendly.the quality of the food available at canteens are of good quality.students take part in many games and other extra curriculums.But I must mention the admistration and teaching quality must be increased.otherwise its good.A thumbs up to it.It has got so much of notable Alumni.
