I received a Prestige Induction heater model PIC 2.0 during June 2012 as present. The unit was rarely used as I have already a LPG connection and the current consumption of the induction heater is very high and hence expensive to operate. On 20th May 2014 it went dead during operation. The heater was taken to the nearest Prestige customer care at Thrissur Kerala( Capital Towers, Near Patturaikkal) on 22nd May.
Since there was no intimation regarding the fate of my Induction heater I visited the customer care On 13th June. They intimated that the plate inside the unit has burnt and I have to replace it. The cost estimated is Rs. 1850/= . I didnt collect the unit as the repair charge is exorbitant and similar unit of other brands are available with in this amount. The matter was taken up with TTK customer care on E mail ID customercare@ttkprestige.com on 15 June 2014. I am awaiting a reply from them.
PS: The TTK main office in response to my above mail has intimated their Thrissur customer care office that I do not deserve any leniency and instructed to charge Rs.1850/= for repairing the same. Today I collected the dead unit.
I appeal to every body not to purchase Prestige Induction Cook tops and become victim afterwards
