After thinking so much I bought prestige glasstop Induction stove 2 months back. Prestige is a reputed company and Prestige cookers bought some 25 years back Is still used by me. No complaints. But, with this Induction stove I have very bad experience.
I used this induction stove personally, never allowed the servants to touch it. 10 days back I used and after finishing dinner I cleaned it with wet cloth and kept it aside. I was standing there only cleaning other part of the kitchen. Suddenly I heared cracking sound and in front of my eyes the glasstop went on breaking. I was shocked. within 10 minutes full glaass top cracked.
I called the TTK service centre near Lalbhag and they asked me to bring it. When I took it they started telling it is missused and for missuse there is no guarentee. I explained to them it is not missused. But their only slogan was’missuse’ and made the slip for replacement of glass top and mentioned the charge as Rs 800/- When I told them it is a brand new one and there is guarentee period you have to either replace or repair freely. They dont have the courtasy to hear the customers.
Everyone there had the same experience. At last one person told me to speak to the manager on phone since he is not available now and if he says we will do it free. what an irony we are not begging to do it free. We want customers benefit. Then I told that person you repair and keep I will call ur manager If it is not possible I will pay and take for making the mistake of buying this induction stove from a prestigeous company. they said it will be ready after 3 days. since that day I am trying to call the manager. The phone is either engage or no one picks up. I wanted to know atleast it is ready and whether I can pick up.
I am a senior citizen and I cant go there and come back unnecessarily if it is not ready. So I am still trying to call them but in vain.
What TTK is doing when so many complaints are there?
It is my sincere advice please dont buy prestige induction stove instead any ordinary gas stove is better.I use almost all the gadgets but this is the first bad experience I am having. All the gadgets lasts long with me because I handle them very well.
