This is the first time I used a packers and movers service and got the worst possible treatment. I wanted to shift my luggages from bangalore to chennai. I approached them on 15th october as I wanted the delivery on the 19th october. They promised to take the luggage on 17th as it would take two days to deliver. He came and saw the things to be sent and said 3-5 cartons would do and gave bill for 3700 after negotiation 3500.
The things dint get delivered on 19th. when I approached no one picked the call. On monday afternoon they said luggage still in bangalore! Then the contact sunil said. may be by monday night or tuesday morning he will try. On monday morning someone called me from chennai saying that they cant deliver in their vehicle because of permit reasons. My question in what way permit issue will bother me? Is n’t it that it is their responsibility to take care of all that. worse thing they dont have any office in chennai.
The person on the phone wants extra money for delivering it. why? another local vehicle he will use it seems. When I spoke to sunil(After umpteen times of redial) he says." collect your luggage from the godown"! Completely distressed I went to the office in bangalore. It is in bannerghatta road. I went today morning i.e. I was shocked to see there was no board in the mentioned place in the website. It was like a flat. In the ground floor I saw that sunil jus awoke and brushing the teeth! the auto man with whom I went realised the issue and came to my help. After an hours battle sunil finally called up the chennai driver and asked him to move it to another vehicle. Never knew the other vehicle was a school auto. He sent 10 luggage including one cupboard in that! None of the prestige guys were there. I could ve done it better with just a mover why them? No door service nothing.
I had to ask my small sister to take the luggage inside my house as I was helplessly in bangalore. I tried my best to raise it to consumer court. I am leaving bangalore today I dont want this to happen to anyone here.! Please visit their premise. u will know the rest! It simply stinks.
