Prestige induction cooktop PIC 3.0 V2

I bought this presige induction cook top PIC 3.0 V2 yesterday evening, as I found that my gas cylinder regulator knob was broken, on returning from office and there was no way I could cook meals for the night and next morning.  Since we have a prestige showroom very close to my hose, we decided to go for prestige.  I didn’t check reviews or anything as I had to buy a stove urgently.

The price was Rs.4500 with an induction base 5 L induction base pressure cooker and induction base tawa(which they say is "free") or Rs.1300 discount, without the "freebies".  At first I thought of going for the discount, as I had enough pressure cookers and tawas, but then I felt since I didn’t have induction base cooker/ tawa, I would rather go for the "freebies". After reaching home, I tried to make chapatis with the dosa/chapati pre set menu- initially 3-4 chapatis came out pretty fast and then it started slowing down when I tried to increase the power setting with manual option, it showed E9 or some error, after some two minutes or so.  I switched back to dosa /chapati preset  and again it started to work fine.  I deduct that it has some auto-shut down mechanism, which makes it stop functioning and which makes the heating process slow down after some time.  So while making chapatis-it was like 4 fast chapatis-4 very slow chaptis-4 fast chapatis and so on- not satisfied as working on gas stove

Next morning I started with rice in the induction base pressure cooker with the pre-set pressure cook menu(highest power 2000W). To my surprise, the steam came in less than 5 minutes, but the rice needed a little more cooking- probably because cooking time was too little. But with two-three more minutes of cooking, my rice was perfectly cooked.  Then I made tea- a matter of just three or four minutes- perfect.  My curry also got cooked pretty 7-9 minutes.  In total I could finish my work with my single induction  cooktop in time, as I would have done with my two burner gas stove. Overall experience -so far so good -  I know it’s too pre-mature to comment but I’ll update after a few months.

(On seeing the other reviews -  Will I have to write an adverse review after a few months?;-)  )

Hi all, As I have less space on my kitchen counter and since I am happy with my three-burner gas stove, I have kept aside the induction cook top, reserving it for any emergency requirement and have not used it after a week or so of purchasing.  But after seeing the other reviews, I’m not pretty sure about the equipment.

I’d definitely say, my first experience was good!
