It was time to replace my old food processor and I did a through search of mixers and food processors. I even thought of using an add on food processor from Maggi to mixers but non really caught my fancy.
Then I chanced to find the prestige teon 750W mixer.
This mixer immediately caught my eye for the unusually shaped base and jars, different in a pleasing sort of way. The base is symmetrically cylindrical with the round operation knob which feels solid and functions well. The base also has many radially arranged suction feet that keep the powerful mixer from moving, this with the jar cover holder means you can leave the mixer on and unattended for a few minutes. It also has a drip channel in the coupler to allow easy drainage of any spilled liquids.
I got four jars with the mixer, which included two tall metal jars of different sizes and one small metal dry grinder and a plastic blender. All jars are stackable and the lids interchangeable. The jars have removable blades, including a whipping blade. The handles are a solid cast aluminum and very strong.
what I now missed was food processing ability, I was looking for an add on food processor from other companies and then I realised that prestige itself has such a device. It does chopping and dough kneading all for the neat price of 999.
I bought both from the prestige website and amazingly it was cheaper then any on the big ticket websites like amazon and flipkart.
.
Another thing I considered while buying was the after sales service which I had a positive experience and they are conveniently located.
After a friend also bought this mixer, he complained that the jars and the multiutility attachment fit tightly. On checking we found that the jars fit better once the black rubber gasket from the base of the jars is removed. he also found the multiutility jar used for making atta small as compared to standard food processors
