I am amazed that no one has given any review on this book. though some survey have concluded that people have rated this book as the one which has changed their lives.
It is a story set in 18th century England. It tells about journey of a relationship that starts with absolute contempt, but gradually unfolds itself into love and perfect understanding.
Actually in the beginning, the lead couple is not introduced as lead couple, it is presented as a second lead. I found it somehow as a comment on tendency to form opinion about people even before we meet them and leave alone fully understand them.
Simple story line and simple characters takes you on journey of England and try to give you a feel of the thinking of people.
I would suggest this book for its simplicity and good message.
Do read this book.. it’s not a heavy duty stuff
