I own the book and the DVD of this movie. I am really a romantic at heart and I tremedously enjoy this kind of movies.
For us who live in this present world, where some peoplehave almost forgot, how to be nice, courteous, polite, friendly and humane, this book and movie allows me to at least move myself to a place and time when these things mattered to everyone and it was the norm, by which we lived.
I tremendously enjoy watch Darcy and Elizabeth and their repertoire when they are having conversation - it is so polite, yet so graciously unpolite.
It shows to us how our own strengths can be viewed by someone as a weakness, if we are so ’’filled’’ by our own importance.
This book is trully a great read and the movie is a good watch, for we can and are allowed to visualise what the times and lives of the people who lived in the earlier centuries was like and it also shows us, how much we have change and whether, we like the change, and if we do not like the change, what are we going to do about it?
For myself, I embrace the qualities represented in this movie and try some of it in my own lifestyle and I am glad to say, it pays off, if better relationships, all around.
