Priest is a 2011 American post apocalyptic movie starring Paul Bettany as the title character.
The story revolves around priest who are assigned to fight the vampires. Paul Bettany plays a priest who is an expert in fighting and killing the vampires. Once he hears that his brother’s daughter is kidnapped by a group of vampires, he goes on a mission to save her disobeying the orders of the church. He finds the boyfriend of the girl who is also the sheriff of the town. With the help of the sheriff and a former priestess, he travels and fights the vampires to find clues about the missing girls. He finds that a new powerful vampire is behind all this and goes to find him. The rest of the story shows his fights against the vampires and finally with the villain.
The priest is a stylish movie. It is well shot, the CGI is good, the action scenes are okay. But the real issue is the script. It is very week. The movie fails to keep the pace at many instants. With a better script this movie would have been pretty good.
