My father was diagnosed with a tumour in his lower jaw region. It was in very early stage and immediately doctors in our hometown of Guwahati recommended visiting Mumbai to have it removed. After much hassle of contacting hospitals and making an appointment, we managed a slot in Prince Aly Khan Hospital. My below average review is not directed at the medical care aspect. The doctors and nurses and staff are very good. They always checked up on my father twice a day daily after the operation was done. But my issue was with the infrastructure. It is a very cramped hospital, less room to move about, and rooms for patients are small too, even the vip care room. They charged us a lot for the 10 day stay at a vip care room, which was no bigger than a small store room. And it was brought to our notice by some visiting doctors who also happened to be family friends, that the hospital administration is very erratic with their medical charges especially to high profile patients or well to do families. Their billing system is also inefficient and slow.
I would recommend anyone who goes to this hospital with a serious ailment to consider these points.
