It's SHOWTIME!

It’s always a pleasure to watch sleek action thrillers equipped with watertight scripts. Unfortunately, Bollywood rarely comes up with such films and when it does, the film fails to captivate. Race was last such film in this genre which turned out to be fabulous. Now its makers (Tips) are back with Prince and fortunately, it’s not an all-style-no-substance kinda film! The film is stylish, sexy but at the same time has powerful execution and plot which’ll grip you from the very start and till the finish! A must watch, in short!

The story of the movie: Prince (Vivek Oberoi) is one of the savviest thieves in the world. Making the utmost use of his intelligence and technology, he can break into the most safest and secured systems and commit daring robberies. After committing one such grand heist in Durban, he suddenly finds himself not remembering anything at all. He has a gunshot wound on his arm. The CBI, The IGRIP and the villainous Sarang (Isaiah) are behind him and are asking him about some coin which he has robbed. However, he doesn’t remember where he has hidden it. And moreover, he meets 3 hotties (Neeru Singh, Nandana Sen, Aruna Shields) in 3 days, all of them claiming to be his girlfriend Maya! And finally he finds the deadly secret-he hardly has 6 days to live! To find out how Prince finds the truth and puts all the jigsaw puzzles back in place, watch the movie!

Prince sets the mood wonderfully from the first scene itself. Prince robbing the diamonds was a fabulous scene. It might remind you of Hrithik Roshan’s beginning act of Dhoom:2 but you won’t complain. The scene here is novel and no sooner you get absorbed into the world of Prince!

The film reaches another level when Prince finds he doesn’t remember anything. How he goes around, looking for clues and finding answers is a treat to watch. The ‘Mayajaal’ created by 3 Mayas complicates things but yet it’s interesting! The intermission point was awesome to say the least! The film continues with the awesomeness in the 2nd half too. However, questions might be raised here as to ‘ye kaise kiya’ at many places. However, still the film is a winner and one of the chief reasons is the unpredictability of the script. You’ll never know what will happen next or who the real Maya is. And there are some solid twists-n-turns especially in the 1st half, just like Race! All in all, the film is just fabulous in all respects!

The film belongs to Vivek Oberoi. He is in complete form and gives a bravura performance! This wasn’t an easy role and he gets it right in each and every scene, especially in the dramatic ones. Great to see Vivek in biggies like Kurbaan and Prince. Keep rocking and may you shine even more!

Nandana Sen looked chic with the tattoos all over her body. Aruna Shields was the best among all the 3 girls not only because of her role length but also because she leaves a mark with her great performance. Neeru Singh didn’t have much to do.

Isaiah, the baddie, looked every inch like a villain. Splendid debut! Sanjay Kapoor might remind you of Anil Kapoor in Race. Nevertheless, he was perfect and after Luck By Chance, here is another indication-he deserves to be seen more! Dalip Tahil was alright. Dialogue Mayur Puri is also there in the film and acts well. Rajesh Khattar is there only for one scene. Others do well.
