Well, finally we have prison break being telecast in our country! Now, how good do you think it is? VERY, to be precise!
INTRODUCTION
This serial is set in fox river state prison in the US of A. Lincoln burrows, a death row inmate, is imprisoned for a crime he claims that he didn’t commit. One of the only fellow to believe him is Michael Scofield, his half brother. Michael decides that the only way to help his brother out is by getting into the prison himself and breaking his brother out. and that said, the adventure begins!
STORYLINE / SCREENPLAY
This is one of the strongest aspects of this serial and well, it shows! One can never predict what to expect the very next frame. Events happen very rapidly and the viewer is kept throughly entertained sitting at the very edge of his seat! One of the best aspects of the show is how the cast blend into the characters so effortlessly. Hats off to the casting directors for pulling it off so well! Screenplay too is almost flawless. At times however, you do tend to get a bit dizzy with the speed at which everything happens but thats only because the serial is so good! Thoroughly enticing, this is probably as good as it can get. Another interesting observation is that many people feel that this serial is a lift of the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" - I beg to differ! Whereas the movie was mainly focussed about escaping, this serial is more than that. you’ll see that in the second season.
THE CAST
Main cast includes Dominic Purcell(Linc the sink), Wentworth Miller(Michael Scofield), Robin Tunney(Veronica Donovan) and Sarah Wayne Callies(Dr. Sara Tancredi). More cast are added as the show progresses and well, they do a pretty decent job with their characters. Some very cool ones too come on board for the second season, so keep a watch out for them!
FINAL VERDICT
One of the best adventure serials out now, a must watch for any adventure series fan. Do not miss this one!
