A prisoner of birth talks of the unusual twists and turns in the life of a young man starting from the eve of his marriage. The story resembles ( ? Probably inspired from) the count of Monte Cristo by the great Alexandre Dumas. Pity Archer has to resort to adaptations of classics from time to time to sell stories ( kane and abel being another example). Its just about average to read, and I would not recommend a serious reader to buy it. Read it if you can borrow it for free.
I would not like to reveal about the plot, but people who have read dumas work will understand the substance of the plot. The one thing I dont agree completely is the presumption tat british justice system never makes mistakes. I dont think any justice system can claim that. However it adds to the feel good factor in the story. The legal arguments are interesting, though I am not sure about their credibility.
I found a matter of honour, kane and abel much more interesting, maybe because they were my first archer stories.
