Well, to be very frank...good commercials, cool promotional night events and quite a decent line of mens clothes...yet something amiss!
it was the name that got me to their check out their first collection a few years ago...good for a first collection yet something amiss!
clothes and I have a long-standing affinity for each other...yet I have been able to buy just a few cotton shirts only from their first collection...excellent material but eventually the fit seemed to bother me...gifted some and was at that time in a small way instrumental in popularising the brand in my circle!!!
ever since have been checking out their collections...the shirts have been decent but the fits are always out of sync with the current fads...today I would like to get hold of shirts with good solid colours /elegant geo prints /soft shades /cut-off collars /comfy fabrics and a fit that stays close to my body yet does not cling to it...yet I could not find a suitable one for myself...maybe I am the fussy one around but the shirts are most of the times not the correct length or the fit gets to me..yet the shirts make the best gifts as they carry a good brand value and you know what you are buying for whom.
i did a bit of brand hunting around and ended up against the proverbial wall...i finally got my tailor to outfit me with repeats from my collection of threads collected during my trips.
seriously, nothing against any brands...but some legwork has to be done regarding the sizes we indian men are all about...cater to in between sizes as most often I have noticed they are most sought after...like I always need a shirt size 39 and almost never ever get it in the style I would need to buy for myself...more so the fabric could be more in line with international clothes considering india exports a major quantity of clothes around the world...and why are we mostly behind the rest of the world in regards to the styles...what I picked up from h&m in koln last year is not yet available with any of the popular brands here!
yet I may be more particular than most in regards to the shirt I need on my back and chest too...but I do find it easy to get a gift for my friends and family from provogue / indigo nation /levis and ofcourse zodiac.
e=just yesterday, I was out trying to get myself some formal/evening out shirts and at the end of the day could get some only from international brands...none of the local brands had what I had on my mind for myself!!!
