The review is specifically focussed on Parathe wali gali at Chandni chowk. After going through 1000s of mixed review, I along with group of people went there to try some tasty parathas. But we were highly disappointed with the service and food we were served.
First of all, it is mandatory to take 2 paranthas in a thali and you can not share the thali. One paratha will cost you around 60 -120 Rs. Just imagine a parantha with 100 rs. Along with that came, kele ki chatni which I should say was pretty good, parmal ki sabji(sucks I dont eat that) and some pickels. So, overall I had option of eating paratha with chatni only. They do have lots of varieties but one or 2 parathas wont be able to fill your tummy.
The bill for all of us came around 450 for 3 people as we ordered 2 more mixed paranthas. The paranthas were small and was deep fried in oil. Its a bit hard to eat parathas as the ambience sucks and the paranthas are deep fried. You will kind of feel annoying and irritating.
The ambience was pretty much weird with no proper desk and cleaning. You have to shout before someone comes and clean your desk. Customer service was pretty bad too.
Overall, I would say it was not value for money at all. If you really want to have some good taste try dahi balla corner or kachori corner right across the street. Believe me, you are gonna love it. This place is only a hype as its more than 50 years old. Thats it. And finally make sure you count the change because sometimes they will give you some money less.
