What do you write about a movie that is among the top 5 all time best movies in the IMDB database ( visit imdb.com), but makes your best friend, your alter ego( who is supposed to understand you the most etc etc) react to you after watching the movie, saying "is this the crap that you were bugging me to watch for so long?!?" ..all in good humor though...
Now, all u can say is.. "allow me to retort!" :)
The extent of extremity of views on this wonderful peace of pure cinema will at least make you stop and ponder ...
Talking in cliched terms, this movie has one of the most drastically innovative screenplays ever... (of course ’usual suspects’ is good... but this is absurd!!) ... dialogues stand out for the uniqueness of their content and context(lessness), and the style of the actor delivering it, adds the knockout punch... the story(ies) are simple, pulpy and basically fiction! the music is chosen with equal panache (i love ’the lively ones-surf rider’)
This movie, called pulp fiction, completely lives upto its name... and if you can relate to it, enjoy it and are looking for an absurd comedy/thriller that takes you on a journey u have never been on before, then this is what you must pick up.
