For somebody who is born and brought up in Pune, I cannot believe! this city is exploding faster than cluster bombs!
My old city was a city of people who were typically intellectuals, misers, brahmins orthodox and little bit of hypocrites, though a lot of great people have been born and made here. There is something in the water. I swear on oath, the water here is one of the tastiest in India!
Now it has become cosmopolitan, crowded and emulating big
brother, bombay.
This is a little bit of shocking to me.
There is still hope. It is a great place to live, safe for woman and weather is still pleasant. However, Pune Municipal Corporation, builders and outsiders are trying their best to worsen it. But nothing beats a morning walk in Pune winter still.
For an outsider, if you can speak marathi, you are most welcome. And if you cannot, you can learn here. I have seen foreigners learning marathi here!
This review will be reedited soon. Till then, happy reading!
