Hey friends, here I am sharing my bad experience with punjab national bank. In 2011 I had visited punjab national bank for a home loan. I had planned to take loan from the bank to buy land and home. I did not have knowledge regarding loans. Here also I was asked to meet the regional manager regarding loan. The manager was well behaved( what I thought that time). He gently asked me about my requirement. I asked him that I want loan for 10-12 lakhs to buy land and built home. He laughed at me. I wondered as if I had committed some mistake. He said that the bank will provide loan only if I had land. I insisted him to to approve loan to buy land. He told me some other plan through which I can buy land.
Then he asked me about my monthly salary. When I told him my salary, he again laughed louder. The persons outside the chamber were staring inside. When I asked him what happened sir. He told me that I cant get that much of amount. He said that monthly I cant pay EMI more than five thousand. When I told him that despite my salary I can pay around 10 thousand of EMI. He smiled and said that I have black money. I got angry with him. But at the same time some one came. the manager asked me to wait outside the chamber for 10 minutes. I waited outside for one hour. Then the manager called me and again repeated that I have black money. When I said that I dont have any black money, then he told me that without black money I cant pay Rs 10 thousand of EMI monthly. When I angrily told him that this is not justified to saying so.
He calmed down, and told me again that he can give me maximum of Rs 4 lakh. When I asked him regarding the procedure, he again asked me to wait outside. But one person outside there secretly called me to one corner. And asked me not to waste time there. Because this manager is not going to approve any loan. He told me that the manager will eat up most of the loan amount. And he suggested me to go to HDFC bank and said they will easily approve the loan.
I dont understand whats right and whats wrong. But the experience was really bad.
