I had purchased this product couple of years back and all was well till last month. There was leakage of water from middle container to bottom container. So I called up customer case and asked them to check it. HUL representative visited the place and advised me to replaced the battery and charged us Rs 1000 which included his service charge of Rs. 60.
I asked him to wait till the time I confirm that issue of leakage is resolved but so called customer care representative of HUL did not listen and left for next destination.
After I poured water, I realized that problem of leakage is still not resolved and I had already replaced battery worth Rs 1000. I called customer care again and the same person visited again. I was surprised that he was asking me for service charges of Rs 100 again. I clearly told him that it is my original problem for which I have complained and I will not pay a single rupee extra. Then he checked and found that there is an internal crack in middle container and needs replacement worth Rs 500. I told him that its a fault in product and need not be charged to me.
When I called customer care, I was told that warranty period is over and I have to pay for the fault in the product. My concern was if the problem was with faulty product(middle container) then they should have told me right in first place even before installing battery worth Rs 1000.
Eventually, another person claiming to be HUL representative called me up and I provided him details and he had not visited my place even after 10 days. This was not expected from company like HUL. Stop misguiding your customers.
