21 April 2017: It is now 7 days since the HUL representative sent an email saying they are interested in resolving our concern. After that, nothing has happened in these 7 days. This is the kind of service we are seeing with this brand. Best to avoid

We bought the Marvella RO unit a few years ago and mostly it has worked OK. But lately, we are seeing issues with the qualities of the consumables like RO filter etc. Another problem is with the quality of the Afer Sales Service. We live in Hyderabad and the Service Provider here is outright unprofessional.
Since the filtered water started tasting odd, we filed a complaint and they allotted it to the local service provider. Their technician after alot of calls(which was the case during earlier visits also) visits, tinkers with the unit and declares that the filtered water TDS is 40 and got ready to leave. My wife was not convinced and she asked him to retest the water with his TDS meter - the TDS value was 240! So, he was trying to bluff and close the complaint.
After we reported this to PureIT and the Service Provider, they sent a different technician. He checked and found that the RO membrane had failed prematurely. And now PureIt wants us to buy another RO filter while the earlier RO filter module had not even lasted 5 months. It is supposed to provide 8000 ltrs of drinking water and work satisfactorily up to a input TDS of 2000.
So, it appears the quality of their spares is falling. Service is unthinkable.
