I have been using regular Marvella model for last 2 years and my experience is as below.
Their cartridges hardly last fo 5 months that too for a small family of three. Its a catch 22 situation in which you have to shell out INR 650/- every 5 months. Strangely their purifier starts overflowing as soon as cartridge becomes red. So you have no choice but to get it changed. You can not use it as a physical filter unlike other standard purifiers in the market. What a smart way to make customers stuck.
But I am writing this review because of my pretty bad recent experience. As cartridge indicator became red I requested customer care for cartridge change. The serviceman came and changed the cartridge. But water was tasting very bad because of extra chlorine. We kept waiting for 3 weeks to get it rectified by itself. Finally had no choice but to call up the customer care again. First they mentioned visit charge which I flatly denied than they said okay please talk to serviceman. Serviceman came and did some resetting and said it should be okay after 10-15 liters. Then he demanded service charge which caused mutual argument because I was of the opinion that this was no fault of us. The service guy said you should have called within 20 days. I said where is that written in the service receipt. Ultimately I did not budge and he left visibly disappointed of course after displaying lot of aggression.
The real problem started afterwards. The same problem still persists after 1 month. We are forced to drink the same bad taste water. I think the issue is with the cartridge or the serviceman is poorly trained. Pureit seems to have contracted with local vendors who train the guys properly. As I have lost interest to deal with customer care, servicemen, service change arguments, unreliability of product quality etc., I am considering dumping this purifier and switch to aquaguard.
Poor job HUL. Poor job Pureit.
