Im using pureit from 1.5 yrs. The quality of water is good but the company seems to be getting greedier and greedier and trying to fool the innocent and gullible customers.
As the filter is inexpensive so we all can understand wht kind of segment will be buying. Recently the cartridge which is suppose to spill chlorine had been made autocutoff. That means if the chlorine finishes the water will stop coming.
This is not told by any of the HUL dealer. If suppose, which happened to me, catridge finished at the evening and purifier stopped sending water to the polisher, and the water started dripping from the red indicator. Last time when my cartridge finished they took 4 days to replace it. Now if they take again 3-4 days that means I wont be able to use the purifier any more.
The filter works well enuff without chlorine, there are other stages to purifiy the water. I suppose this safety feature is more of a nuisance than a facility. Its just to extract more money from customer thru maintainence. If the water is not coming ppl will immediately replace the battery else they used to delay for few days or weeks..
As it happened to me for the first time and wht ever my reading is subject to approval by others. If whatever Id said is true then dont ever think of buying this purifier. As the HUL is not trustworthy.
HUL is simply enjoying the virtual monopoly in storage purifiers. Battery which was 350/- for 2500l/- ltrs is now 550/-. It looks like inflation has affected HUL most ;). Beware HUL Tata has launched swach for 999 with replacement kit of 299/-
