I am using this for more than 2 yrs. Previously we used mineral water bubble top, it had its own problems like, every time we run out of water we need to call and order for one, not guarantee on the purity, taste wasn’t good and expensive.Then we moved to PureIt.
We felt convenient that no electrical or plumbing work required (we are in a rented house) so installing and using was easy, Water tasted better than the mineral water and cost is very affordable.Still I always have the feeling that is it safe to drink it? resaons:1. I was told that the unit should be cleaned every month. I am cleaning every 15 days once, still when every I clean the unit I see deposits in the unit 2. Unit is made of plastic.
So how good is that plastic to store the water?3. Last time I replaced the kit with longer life battery. Usually when they change the battery kit they change 3 items in the unit, two filters and one battery. When I opted for longer life battery, the filer for the bottom was bigger (its bigger for longer life) but the filter in the top was the same for normal battery. So the problem has started, now the water is being filtered very slowly from the top, but still the battery shows it is good to use. So this means that filter for top is not designed for longer life.
If you’re planning for a water purifier for u own house definitely, think for a better option. Don’t go for this.
