Purepur Kolhapur means complete Kolhapur. God knows where they got this ridiculous idea from. Actually we wanted to eat at the next door Chaitanya restaurant which was shut that day and hence popped in at this restaurant.
The ambience was not very reassuring but thought of giving the place a try. Of the fish items displayed on board most were not available. Had no jowar, bajra bhakris. Only chapatis. Sol kadi was insipid and highly diluted so sent it back. Ordered Surmai and Bombay Duck which had the taste of uncooked masala and was stale.
Asked for vegetable pulao and were served top rice of one of their Biryanis in a small container. The next was dal with drumsticks which was of thin consistency, probably staff meals. We couldn’t go through the meal and went up to pay.
We gave our feedback to the Manager who was so aggressive and argumentative. He shouted that a lot of celebrities patronised the place and we had no business criticising. Will never step into that place. A bad experience!
