Hi guys its been long since I wrote but you need to find something substantial to write you can’t just crib about everything so when you find something bad or good as a consumer you write and that is what I am doing here.
On Thursday I was at the new IMAX screen at PVR Phoenix mills Mumbai. I was very excited to go there as it was something which was within the city and not on some far fetched land like Imax Wadala is.
So with all fun fare I and my friend landed up at PVR and from the start became skeptic about the place because the first thing we saw was behind the ticket counter the I of the IMAX written was gone.
The next thing was the price it was 150 rupees cheaper to IMAX Wadala that was little surprising as we always thought that an IMAX viewing deserved greater price still we went in with excited eyes.
The excitement didn’t die as we entered the place we realized that there is a separate seating area for IMAX people we felt privileged and were waiting with great anxiety for the doors to open and it did a little late but it did and it was huge we were again excited and all the skepticism went out of the window.
The man giving us the glass was wearing gloves and was cleaning it for us. The IMAX WADALA people give you tissues to clean your glass. The glasses looked new and we went upto to our seat.
Everything seemed to be falling in place until then. The movie was about to start we wore our glasses and there began the doomed journey and the failure of IMAX PVR. The glasses were giving trouble to our eyes. They had different colors on both side One side gave you lighter imaging and the other gave you dark. It was troubling I thought it was just my glass but then my friend too had the sam problem and the person sitting next to him.
Still we sat thinking that it will improve but no it didnt we walked away with a headache and the staff looking confused after been said that the glasses were not proper.
The other thing that mounting the troubles more was the chairs which for our surprise were not stable they were squeaky and you couldnt sit on them without dancing on it.
I suppose sometimes you have to pay more to get the right thing and I realized the right thing is IMAX WADALA for viewing a IMAX MOVIE.
