As such Sangam is definatly not upto the mark. I dont know if it is the worse theatre in Delhi and frankly being a patron of PVR, Priya and Odeon maybe my standards are slightly high.
But truly, Sangam fails in providing a good movie viewing enviorment. I donot expect plush interiors like in PVR, but at the very least I expect the air conditioning not to break down in the middle of the movie on a hot sweltering day and for the movie not to be interrupted three times due to some technical glitch.
Since movie going is a form of entertainment we do naturally expect to do it in with some level of comfort.
But more so it is the crowd in this theatre which is completely unreasonable. Knowing it is Sangam I dont expect trendy crowd but it is extremely frusterating to have people whistling and screaming when Karisma Kapoor’s dupatta falls off while she is running. Yes it is that bad!!!
Worse still the roadside romeos as I call them are truly obnoxious. I was fortunately watching the movie with my brother so it was allright. But I certainly wont be bringing my family or girlfriend to this theatre. A rather decent looking couple got entangled in a fight with one of these hooligans and he was beaten up after the movie as they were passing lewd remarks at his girlfriend/wife. And to top it all the management just stood there doing absolutely nothing. Awful!!!
Quite frankly, the whole theatre looks like it has not been cleaned in 10 years, seats are worn out, and as for the toilets- just stepping in there makes me feel as if I am going to contract something.
Overall, Sangam does not provide a reasonable movie watching enviorment and is definately not worth reccomending. Even the cheap ticket prices do not warrant a visit as it can spoil your whole evening.
