Movie Ke Side Effects – Laughter & Smiles

I know that this should be posted months back but hey, you can still read if you have not watched PKSE or even if you have seen it, worry not, what’s the harm is recalling the happy moments of life.

The Choice

*No cable network in the evening and got original PKSE CD from the store(in absence of Kabul Exp. & IC(see)U), what else can you expect, the choice was quite obvious. Difficult was to convince my wife to sit and see the movie(I kept on saying it is a good film & u will enjoy until she does start to enjoy).

*Why to watch?

*A must see movie with wife or even girlfriend(g/f). Hope you don’t have a fight when she sees you laughing like crazy on jokes made on wifes’ & g/f’s. After a long time I have came across a humorous movie with perfect timing by classy actors, that to on a low budget platform. Pls. note that I am not responsible for your stomach aches and cramps, you watch on your own risk.

*Plot

*You may have heard that in earlier RVU’s, so I need to be précis. The story is about a middle class man(Sid- Rahul Bose), who falls in love with a rich girl(Trisha – Mallika Sherawat). Trisha insists to marry after 3 years of their relationship, but Sid is not ready. After serious pressure from her, he agrees with half-mind. Eventually she notices that and they have a breakup. Finally the boy forgets his fears and is committed to marry. What happens next is not the suspense. The suspense is how hard you hit the ground after falling from the bed while laughing like hell.

*Fun

*Now you may wonder that this is a simple story, where is the fun? Consider this, above is 20% of the story and rest is all fun and humor. You will notice that Sid keeps informing the audience the side-effects(s/e) of love and of engagement. He connects to the audience and you enjoy his advices, I loved them. Some plots of the movie are given for your reference. Don’t worry, plenty more are left for you to find out.

  1. There is an incidence when India Pakistan cricket match is running live and Trisha won’t let him see the match. Sid desperately tries to see the match & snatch the remote from her hands, but all in vain. You can find plenty of advices hitting you if you are married, engaged or even hooked-up.

  2. Another important s/e of engagement/ marriage is that all sexy & b’ful girls are flirting with you and you wonder where they before were. You dare laugh on this and you will get a punch from you wife, fortunately I got mean stares only

  3. There is Mr. Ranvir Shorey who plays as Nanoo, room mate of Sid. He is the most disgusting yet funny character on the script. You can have a laugh the moment he hits the screen. Some plots to understand his character:

  4. He has a problem with bathing and changing clothes esp. his underwear.

  5. After having breakup from his g/f over the bathing thing, he is left alone. He looks and finds moments to break his vrat(fast) of you know what. He tries with one and all including sales girl(who also sells detergent), a credit card agent(who tries to get his friends contact numbers while he is seducing her), Sid’s g/f i.e BABY GIRL VOL. 3(he says he is ready to do her if he has no objection.

  6. Then there is Baby Girl Vol. 3. The name is coined from the last music album she does. She keeps offering Sid a coffee in her house, which means ……(do I have to tell u, ur all grown ups man). But Sid can’t drink as he has Trisha all over his mind. The scene is very decently pasteurized for all mature audiences.

  7. There is a scene where Sid was not able to open Trisha’s inner clothes(u know what) and was not able to. He kept on giving lame excuses like it’s of a new kind. Trisha says that u don’t have to be a rocket scientist to open it. Man, it is funniest thing to say while loving.

  8. In one scene, Sid’s sister(Tarane Raje) makes dinner, an Italian dish if I remember correctly for her husband(Aamir). Aamir, being a modest typical husband keeps eating while saying its good. When Raje eats the food herself, she comes to know that it is awful. She fights with Aamir for not telling its bad. Finally Aamir admits its bad and continues to say that she is the worst cook and she knows to experiment only, that is never successful. Before he realized, she was red I anger. Man, that was very well shot scene with situational comedy.

I can go on & on. But the thing is, it is you who should raise your souls and buy a CD/ DVD(no cinema screening now) and watch carefully with your love. You will enjoy a lot & I can bet that.

Those think that only big budget movies are worth watching in the multiplexes, think again. A decent script accompanied by very good acting scills displayed by Rahul Bose, Mallika(surprisingly) and supporting crew. Music is medium with some good songs. *O Pappe Pyar Karke *should be part of movie and not casting in the end though.

So guys, keep the popcorns ready and hit the play button.

Pl. Note: This one is for Shyam for making me write and post in a busy schedule.
