Not many effects!!

‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’ is a funny romantic comedy that explains the ‘relationships of today’. Casting Rahul Bose and Bollywood’s sex kitten Mallika Sherawat in her toned down avatar, director Saket Chaudhary has chosen the path of humour to narrate his story in his very first outing. Pyaar Ke Side Effects mirrors certain truths that several working people in a metropolis face. And it’s this facet that forms the crux of the story.

The Plot::

Bollywood sex-kitten Mallika Sherawat plays Trisha whearas Rahul is a DJ, Sid , Its a simple film, about two ordinary people. The ’bone of contention’ here is marriage. The girl wants to marry, the guy isn’t ready for a commitment. They part ways, cross each other’s path at regular intervals, try to find solace in others’ arms, but can’t erase the memory of their beloved.......Sid and his roommate Nanoo (Ranvir Shorey) were hired to play at the marriage reception of Trisha and Vivek (Jas Arora). Sid meets Trisha when she was about to run away from the ceremony. They meet again after six months in Mumbai and slowly develop feelings for each other. Trisha insists for marriage but Sid remains hesitant. Things turn worse when Sid has a face-off with Trisha’s father in Delhi. They break up; Trisha goes back to her ex-fiance Vivek and Sid gets close to Tanya (an item girl of a music video). Sid could not forget Trisha and she also does not stop him when he kisses her in a restaurant. Trisha was about to marry Vivek again when Sid lands up there with help of Trisha’s friend Anjali (Suchitra Pillai) and Trisha runs away with him.

The story ends and you start cursing yourself for seeing this movie in a multiplex.!!!

The Music ::   Pritam’s music is in sync with the mood of the film. Manoj Soni’s camerawork is only getting better with every film. The usage of vibrant colors accentuates the impact.
