Urmilla yeh kya kiya! Yes this should be the tittle of the movie rather than PyaAr TuNE KyA KiyA?!
Yeah it’s Goa. A sexy gal is exercising on the beach and attracts a passer photographer who clicks zillions of her photographs without her consent (though she gives him all the poses he needs but unknowingly) cool ha!
This sexy gal is Riya (played by Urmilla Matondkar) who resides in a huge, glittery and peculiar bungalow, with her Pa (manages only one suit throughout the movie) and her Nanny. All one comes to know about this girl is that she’s very stubborn and will get MAD if daddy didn’t bring her the doll she asked for.
She turns into a model and the same photographer from the beach named Jai (played by Fardeen Khan) makes her do a dozen of shoot on the terrace top. Alas! She flips over Jai during all this. On learning that Jai is already married to Geeta (played by Sonali Kulkarni), Riya pounces like a tigress. The psychic Riya is very furious, threatens to jump over dizzy heights, walks all night in darkness….
She is more upset on why did Jai lie to me if he was married.
Consequently she now makes life living hell for the happy couple.
I would say that the story does move a little in the second half…
But neither symphatetic nor perceptive about the situation of a woman scorned, the director appears to be essentially interested in displaying Riya’s physical attraction.
As far as the comedy track is concerned, between the magazine editor and chaiwala Chota Vakeel, it is pathetic and doesn’t attract any sort of attention.
Among the redeeming factors count Ganesha’s choreography particularly Kambakth Ishq and the music score by Sandeep Chowta.
As far as the performances are concerned Urmilla is outstanding. Fardeen another new fresher and is impressive. Sonali Kulkarni is quite good and will pass.
If you aren’t a die-hard fan of URMI darling then don’t watch the movie.
