Its sad that I am the 4 th one to write a review on a topic I suggested on the mouth pad weeks ago . Ah well there isnt time to dwell in to that now as I just saw the movie and am pretty much pumped up !! Well I have to confess something in advance, the plot or storyline of this flick isnt anything to write home about. In fact if u have time to sit down and analyse it , you would be downright disappointed. Then what makes it tick ?? the fact that the director doesnt give you time to sit and analyse !! Its one action scene into another , each more spectacular than the previous !!
The movie starts with james driving sown italy being chased by hench men that results in one hell of a car chase scene. ’You have been served the appetizer’. Then we realise that Bond has Mr. White in his trunk and takes him to a secured location in italy to be questioned by Madame M directly. But it turns out M’s body guard itself was a double crossing agent and helps white escape which then mounts to James chasing down the bodu guard through the streets and roof tops to a spectacular kill for Bond. ’You are now thoroughly ingrossed and aching for the main course.’
Through infiltred money MI6 figures out who is Mitchell’s ( M’s deceased body guard) contact and james sets off to find him in haiti where a showdowm ends in bond killing him too. He emreges fromthe hotel to be mistaken for the guy he just killed and realises that the contact was sent to kill Camille (olga K ) by her partner Domonic greene. Dominic is aiding general Medranio to overthrow the government in Bolivia in return for a barren piece of desert where many have seached for oil but of no use. Dominic hands over camille to the general for ’ fun ’. Bond then chases and rescues camille in a high octane speed boat chase. ’So far the u have enjoyed the meal and cant wait for more.’
Bond then hands over camille to local care and tracks dominic to a function in austria where he comes to realise that its a meeting for all the members of quantum. He over hears the conversation and takes pictures of the all the members he could and sends it to MI6 for analysing. But a showdown has him accidently letting a body guard of the advisor of the PM fall down on dominic’s car and dominic shoots him. A pissed off M who is getting tired of bond killing all the potential source of information, revokes his passport and credit cards .Bond then unites with Mathis ( his ally in casino royale ) and both sets off to bolivia to get o the end of things.
This is the interval and i I am stopping my story naration here so that u can enjoy it better at the theatre. As you must now realise, the movie is packed with adrenaline pumping scenes through out that u actually dont mind anything else. I remember getting out of the movie hall all excited and saying aloud what a superb movie it was and that the excitement gradually came down as the hours passed and I started to think about the storyline. Bond fights on foot , cars, boats planes... the whole nine yards here to give u your money’s worth and believe me my friends its paisa wasool to watch this as with any other James bond flick in the theatre... the way it was meant to be seen !! And Its just for these action sequences that I have given it 4 stars.
To provide u more details... this movie was produced by Micheal G Wilson who created the plot, directed by Marc Forster and screen play by joshua Zetumer, paul haggis, neal purvis and robert wade. The film broke the record for the largest friday opening in the UK and is generally well liked and minting money. Please do not forget that its the most expensive James bond movie made till date and it shows in the movie.
If all this doesnt convince you to watch the movie, consider the fact that Bond is out with a bruised if not broken heart and this time its personal !! Daniel Craig rocks in this movie. He apparently stated " compared to this movie, casino royale was a walk in the park ". I didnt regret watching it and I am sure neither will u on the greatest fictional agent with the lisence to kill !! ANd also, this is the second part of the triology , so to enjoy the next bond movie in 2010 u have to watch this anyway :-)
