Best cabs service in min pocket expense. What is Quickcabs doing that could change the dynamics of the business?
The grape whine has it that they are going to charge half the fare, while providing all the services that other radio cab players are providing. That is, they will be charging Rs 7.50 per kilometer, as opposed to Rs 15.00 per kilometer of all existing radio cab players. How exactly are they planning to do this? I still have to find out (will update later). Anyway, I thought of trying out the service today.
However, after trying their call-center number for about 10 minutes, I gave up. Then I looked up on their website, and saw that the call center will be fully functional 6th September onwards. Many cab-drivers I interacted with were pretty excited about this, and planned to move on from Meru, Easycabs, Megacabs,
etc. Right now, at most other cab service providers the chauffeurs pay up Rs 600 per day, besides taking care of the maintenance and fuelling of the cab.
Even though, I am not quite able to understand, why would they want to move to a company where they will have to make a daily payment of Rs 500 to the company? Especially when on an average a single radio cab makes revenue of roughly around Rs 1200 per day.
