The worst cab company in Delhi

If you want a radio cab service in Delhi, please DO NOT call up Quick Cabs. I would like to share my experience with this cab company and warn all the readers to never rely on this company unless you would like to be stranded. First, it is a nightmare to try to call up their call center to make a booking. It usually takes 10-15 minutes hold time to get in touch with one of their agents. After all this waiting and patience, you get to choose between an advance and current booking. But even after you have made a current or advance booking please do not expect a cab for you. Keep your standy arrangements ready or you would suffer like me.


On 6th Nov 2008, I made two bookings(reference numbers 8302 & 8304) at 11:27 AM. These were advance bookings; the first one being for 1500 hrs and the other for 1700 hrs. At 14:20 I get a regret message stating that no cab can be provided to me. After getting this message, I called up the call center of Quick Cabs to get an explanation and I was told that since there is no cab in your area so I will not be provided with one.


(Can you imagine even after an advance booking?). I then asked to speak to the manager and the agent abruptly dropped my call without saying anything. I was now stuck without a cab(because of the company’s inefficiencies) and had to hail a black and yellow taxi from roadside. I am very disappointed by this treatment. The questions I would like to ask the management of Quick Cabs are:


1) What is the rationale of an advance booking if you cannot send a cab to pick me up?


2) Will you send the cab only if it is in the immediate vicinity, even after I had done an advance booking? I might as well hail a black and yellow taxi from the road then.


3) What is the benefit I am getting by booking a cab from you?


4) Is this the way how your call center agents talk to your customers?


5) Why should anybody book a cab from your company if I have to keep a standby arrangement ready?


6) Why should not I go to your competition? Agreed that they charge more but at-least provide a confirmed and predictable service.


7) Are you running a business or is this a lala shop that has no credibility? Their website claims the statement(“We are old fashioned people and for us Customer Service is still the key to success.”). However I have a very string feeling that customer service is tha last thing they are thinking of otherwise why would they form such policies. This particular incident has led me to believe that Quick Cab is the worst cab provider in Delhi.


Their people and processes have demonstrated the most unprofessional conduct that is possible. I will never waste my time or energy in trying to book a cab from them again. I would like to spread this incident so that people do not suffer at their hands. I had written this complaint to the Chairman as well as marketing manager of the company, but have not heard back from them. I should have know that they will also be incompetent and unprofessional as the company they have formed.
