Raabta is the directional debut of Dinesh Vijan who makes ( produce) wonderful films like cocktail, love aaj kal, badlapur. But this time failed to impress us with his directional debut.
The movie deals with a connection between previous life and current life of the actors like we saw in Maghadheera, but it has very different type of story.I think for create difference with that Raabta failed to generate a strong story which we can saw in screenplay also.
Raabta has kind of an imaginary story.the lead actors couldn’t united in previous life so they united in this life as they have Raabta( connection) with some major difficulties which not connected me much.
Cinematography also not good to impress.
Although the movie gets some one of the best actors with best acting in it in recent but failed because of poor story.The lead actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Kristi Sanon deliver a great chemistry together. And again Sushant shows why he is one of the best in recent time. Jim sarbh is tremendous in negative role as like he acted in Bertha.Rajkumar Rao’s cameo is a total waste.
Music of Raabta which is composed by Pritam is pretty nice as always.songs like ’raabta’, ’ik vaari aa’ is very good , nice to ear.’mein tera boyfriend’ is a extra ordinary remix.But all goes invisible for the lack of story.
So, if you are a blind Sushant or Kriti fan , go and watch it. Otherwise you can skip it and save your precious time.
