Raajbarir Khawa is located in Sontoshpur which is 30 minutes distance from my house. One my close old friends stay there. We meet at least once in month and always in a restaurant over dinner. Both of us are foodie and out tastes match to a great extend.
He called me up last Sunday as he returned back from his official tour and wanted to have some as usual "ADDA"( gossip) with me over a dinner. He already has chosen the venue which is just walking distance from his place. The name of the resturant is Raajbarir khawa.
We met at around 8 PM and after some chit chatting over tea we entered to the restaurant. He visited this place earlier too, but this was my first time. I really liked the ambiance. It was sophisticated with comfortable seating arrangement.
The place was mostly occupied, but we managed to get a cozy corner table. The restaurant was A/C and it is only a eating place with no BAR facility.
The charming young waiter gave us the menu card and it was full of Bengali traditional dishes. We became a bit overwhelmed and confused! What to order for dinner?
Later, we went for simple Bengali menu Rice and Rajbarir Kosha Murgi which seemed to be a special dish from them.
They delivered ordered after 20 minutes and we were also in no hurry as my deadline to enter home is always 11 PM. Once the food came, the smell made us hungry! We liked the taste of this special dried chicken very much and worth the price.
Overall, a great experience and if you are going for lunch you should try several fish preparations and also the special thali.
It is undoubtedly the best Bengali restaurant in Santoshpur area.
So, I recommend it.
